Li-Ning and Dwayne Wade have been an unlikely, yet successful pairing since his lifetime signing in 2018. In an effort to celebrate his childhood and his legacy, the Chinese-based sportswear brand is introducing the “Moment’ Way of Wade 9 along with a a brand new website and e-commerce platform.
This iteration of the Way of Wade 9 is the sneaker embodiment of Wade’s past. Elements of the future Hall of Famer can be seen across the sneaker’s upper, with handwritten details stating “Light the Candles“, “Make a Wish“, “Happy Birthday my man!!! Flash” being noted. The brightly tinted outsole represents the flickering of candles on one’s birthday, symbolizing the celebration of youth and to always strive for one’s wishes.
