Kicks On Court

We’re hoping that everyone who visits this site can instantly recognize a typical Nike, Adidas, Reebok and/or Converse sneaker (if not, do not tell anybody that). However, there are some up and coming sneaker brands that may confuse even the most dedicated sneaker lover. Throughout our Kicks On Court, we have spotted a few lesser-known brands such as Peak, Protege and Li-Ning that have surprised you to say the least. However, there are a couple of more brands that may have you questioning.

For the past two years, Houston Rockets power forward has been the only player in the NBA that wears Anta. Similar to Peak and Li-Ning, Anta is a sneaker brand based out of China. It has one of the best sales records in China and has been around since 1994. It has been said that Scola scored a contract with Anta on the strength of playing with China superstar Yao Ming. As for Chicago Bulls power forward Joakim Noah, he can consistently be seen in Le Coq Sportif sneakers. This French company has been around since 1948. However, it is supposedly very popular in Japan and Korea as well. Noah scored this contract through his dad who was a former tennis star (they also had him under contract). What are your thoughts on these lesser-known brands? Click here to view these kicks plus more worn by Kobe, Kidd Derrick Rose and others.
