The Return of the Guard

October 29 – Chicago at Miami (NBA on TNT) – The Return of Derrick Rose: This may very well be the most attractive game of the year for fans of kicks on court. Obviously, from a basketball standpoint, all eyes will be on Derrick Rose’s highly-anticipated return to the court, and he’ll more than likely debut the adidas D Rose 4, but there are an abundance of other story lines. This date marks the 10-year anniversary of LeBron James’ first NBA game in the Nike Air Zoom Generation, so expect Nike to do something incredible with his shoes. Also, we can count on Jordan Brand supplying Ray Allen with another captivating player exclusive that will be talked about for the entire first month of the season, and you can’t forget about Dwyane Wade and his potential debut of the Li-Ning Way of Wade 2.

N/A – Los Angeles Lakers – The Return of Kobe Bryant: As always, the Nike team does an incredible job of keeping Kobe Bryant’s shoe under wraps until they are ready to unveil it. Rumors have been circulating about whether or not the Kobe 9 is a low-top or mid-top, but we will certainly find out the details when Vino comes off of the shelf.
