After news broke out of adidas Originals’s plans to turn its iconic Stan Smith silhouette into a 100% eco-friendly option, the Three Stripes is set to release a special recycled iteration featuring Kermit the Frog.
The forthcoming Kermit the Frog x adidas Stan Smith is made from recycled materials using the label’s Primegreen system. This model features a white leather upper elevated with contrasting “Lime Green” accents found on the Stan Smith branded tongues, outlining Kermit the Frog, and as an embossed “Kermit” on the lateral panel. Instead of the signature “Stan Smith” branding on the heels, the motto “It’s not easy being green” appears. Rounding out the overall look is a white rubber midsole and outsole combo.
