Nice Kicks: You’ve been touring for a while now. What are your favorite kicks to perform in?

Kendrick Lamar:?Something light. Probably the Air Jordan 3 in white with red trim.

Nice Kicks: From a fashion standpoint, which rapper’s style influenced you most growing up?

Kendrick Lamar:?The most influential of all time probably has to be Jay-Z. He always had style and swagger. As a kid watching TV, you always wanted to look like Jay-Z. Whether it was the button ups, the jerseys, the bomber coats– we couldn’t wear those in LA, but we tried [Laughs].
