After walking away with five Grammy awards earlier this week, on the surface Kendrick Lamar‘s presence was felt to the world far beyond just his adorning fanbase. Yet and still, it’s the inner city of Compton, California that remains near and dear to his heart. He proved this true by bringing kids from his former Compton high school to the biggest music awards show in the world.
In collaboration with Reebok, who shares Lamar’s passion to inspire and encourage the youth, a select group of kids were able to join in this remarkable experience. Coming from the same city streets as the kids, Kendrick serves as the ideal example of perseverance, hard work and determination.
