Jayson Tatums’s Love for Tacos Inspires the Jordan Series “Taco Jay”

Joining the Air Jordan 36 Nitro “Taco Jay” comes the Jordan Series “Taco Jay.” Both of these sneakers were inspired by Jayson Tatum’s love for tacos, which was first seen on his viral Air Jordan 34 PE that debuted a couple years back.

Although the Jordan Series sneakers tend to be simple, they never lack in the storytelling department. Even with this edition’s all-white upper, the sneaker manages to remind us about a piece of sneaker history. The area around eyestay is accented with highlights of “Citron Pulse” and “Atomic Green.” The tongue tag features a bold “Taco Jay” logo which keeps the theme front and center. The insole has an animated taco design complete with an angry Swoosh persona. Finishing details include a black heel counter, tongue, and laces.

The Jordan Series “Taco Jay” drops on June 17, 2022. The price is set at $80. To purchase, visit Nike.com and select retailers. Check out the sneaker below and follow @NiceDrops on Instagram for more Jordan Release Dates.
