In honor of Terry Francona, Jordan Brand creates a celebratory sneaker deemed the Jordan Series 01 “Dear Coach.” Francona was Michael Jordan’s manager in 1994 for the Class AA Birmingham Barons. Later in his career, Francona led the Boston Red Sox to two World Series titles, breaking the team’s 86-year championship drought.
This take of the Jordan Series 01 has a duochrome finish that fades between brown and orange. The rustic colored upper has “Dear Coach” embroidered in brown on the side and printed in orange on the tongue tab. The insoles feature a Jumpman on one and “Swing For The Fence” on the other. Finishing details include a white midsole and white shoelaces.
