While Chris Paul’s third signature sneaker, the Jordan CP3.III, has not received as much attention as other signature sneakers (Nike Air Max LeBron VII, Nike Zoom Kobe V), its latest colorways have caught the attention of many. In detail, the “Chevron” Jordan CP3.III and the red/gold Jordan CP3.III he Paul unveiled on Twitter, are arguably the best colorways seen on this sneaker. However, what are your thoughts on this newly-designed Jordan CP3.III “Tribute”?

Any die-hard sneaker enthusiasts would know what this CP3.III is paying tribute to without reading any further. Its color scheme and texture makeup among other design cues draw most, if not all of its inspiration from the legendary Air Jordan III. For example, the multiple sections of elephant print just above the midsole the blue midsole is a direct copy from the Air Jordan III. In addition, the predominately white leather upper, combined with minimal blue and red hints, also draws comparisons to the Air Jordan III. The three laceholder holes, seen on the side of the lacing construction were also seen on the Air Jordan III. This sneaker still contains various CP3.III characteristics as the outsole undoubtedly belongs to Paul’s third signature sneaker. The Jordan CP3.III “Tribute” will hit select retailers in July.
