The Jordan WINGS Scholarship has been at the forefront of Jordan Brand’s commitment to the community at large for the past six years and counting. The scholarship has grown into a community of its own, with over 1,800 scholars from North America to Greater China. The WINGS program is an extension of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand’s impact off the court.

Despite the uncertainty that COVID-19 presents, the WINGS scholars are still set to soar high and fly above expectations. The WINGS program recently announced 32 scholars to the Jordan Brand family with a full-ride scholarship to their school of choice. To cement their induction to the Jordan family, Carmelo Anthony welcomed the scholars in a touching video

The Wings program is designed to allow tomorrow’s future to excel to the highest degree.

“We believe the ball should bounce the same for everyone. By reducing barriers like the cost of tuition, we can enable students to pursue their education without added distractions,” said President of Jordan Brand President Craig Williams.

“In the moment that I heard I was a scholar, it felt like such a boulder was lifted off my shoulder. It was just sudden happiness. It would mean everything to me to pay it forward one day.”

– Daquaun Starks, Class of 2024 Jordan Wings Scholar

“I never thought I would have the opportunity to go anywhere I could imagine. Without the financial burden, my possibilities are endless. I can focus on the other aspects of college life instead of worrying about how it will be paid for. This is something I only could imagine and now that it has come true it’s almost unreal.”

– Gionna Clift, Class of 2024 Jordan Wings Scholar

“It really hits different. When I saw Michael Jordan’s signature on my award certificate, it really restored faith in my path. To be recognized by him, it brought all of this to a whole new level.”
