Black-ish‘s Anthony Anderson celebrated a major milestone this month as he graduated from Howard University with a BFA from the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts. Jordan Brand cheered on Anderson as they gifted him a custom pair of Air Jordan 4s inspired by Howard University.

This Air Jordan 4 had a tonal white leather upper with grey suede overlays. Underneath the leather the shoe has a navy blue textile topped off with white netting. Other navy blue hints appear on the eyestay and heel tab. The tongue is finished with a special “HU” tag that reads “1867,” the year Howard University was founded.

This sneaker is also a nod to Jordan Brand’s decision to be an official sponsor of Howard University, making HU the second HBCU to be a Jordan Brand school. For more sneaker news and Jordan Release Dates, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
