John Elliott Explains How He’d Style His Collaborative Nike LeBron Soldier 10

Releasing today exclusively at Nike’s newly opened SOHO retail space is the John Elliott x Nike LeBron Soldier 10.

A collaborative shoe inspired by Elliott’s love for basketball and a chance encounter with an emergency vehicle while in Paris during a hail storm, this makeup stands as arguably the best LeBron Soldier 10 of the year, right alongside the “Christ The King” pair.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Elliott dished on how he would style his collaborative shoe when given the opportunity with pieces from his namesake collection.

I would wear them with the oversized, raw edge sweats, Nike socks, hike the sweats up and tuck the sweats into the Nike socks. Up top I’d wear our gray mock neck hoodie and an olive flight jacket. I could wear that on a plane, to the gym, to get coffee, or for me to work. I think the way we did the shoe, it’s obviously a technical style but it’s somewhat subtle as well. I just think something with more volume in the sweatpants works better because, let’s be honest—it’s a larger shoe.

Clearly John isn’t one of the best new designers in America for nothing. His design IQ and eye for styling is impeccable, as expressed above. Thus, if you are lucky enough to grab a pair from Nike SOHO today, this styling recommendation is not a bad play.
