When you think of Chicago and the big fashion/streetwear influencers that come from there, the list features some major individuals like Kanye West, Don C, Virgil Abloh, and now Joe Freshgoods. When joining the Boston based brand some years ago, Joe Freshgoods created a huge impact immediately on the brand as he debuted his “Don’t Be Mad” 992 Anatomy of a Heart during NBA All-Star Weekend Chicago 2020, the “Outside Clothes” 990v3 was his next New Balance to debut in his own backyard in Garfield Park located on the West Side of Chicago where he was raised. Just weeks ago, he released a pair of 2002R and 550s as the “Conversations Amongst Us” collection dropping worldwide for more consumers to have more hands-on. His 3rd release brings us a very rare and unique silhouette model, the New Balance 9060 “Inside Voices” in a “Baby Shower Blue” and “Penny Cookie Pink” color scheme.
The pair comes constructed with a mixture of suede, mesh, and leather while dipped in shades of Baby Blue, Tan, Pink, and Gold. We also have the original cloud insoles with ‘JFG’ branding, also branding on the ankle while ‘Inside’ and ‘Voices’ appear on the heel. Lastly, a Gum rubber outsole completes the look.
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 9060 “Inside Voices” will be raffled off May 9th-10th in Chicago only at 3 local shops in the city that are looking for donations for used reading books and art supplies.
