King of camp and all-around fashion wizard, Jeremy Scott makes a glorious return to Adidas with the Forum Hi “Dipped.” It seems that adidas may be on a journey down memory lane as we’re starting to see old glory day moments return to front-and-center; which may have been influenced by the Superstar’s triumphant return circa 2015. With adidas adding new colorways to vintage silhouettes and bringing back iconic collaborators like Jeremy Scott, it seems like the brand is on a mission to take the past, and make it present.
Nevertheless, Jeremy Scott doesn’t waste any time in giving us something that we didn’t see coming. This take on the adidas Forum Hi offers four pairs of ooey-gooey goodness as waxy slime melts down the sides of the silhouette. Coming in orange, aqua, black, and blue, the monochromatic sneakers are far from modest with striking high-gloss hues, but some might say that this is understated for Jeremy Scott. To complete the sneaker, Jeremy Scott marks his territory by placing a portrait of himself on the top of the tongue tab.
It seems that Jeremy Scott x adidas will be here to stay for the time being, as Scott took to his Instagram to announce the reigniting of his partnership with adidas. This revamp of the Forum Hi definitely reminded us why Jeremy Scott’s original partnership with adidas is still revered as one of the most memorable moments in sneaker history. We’re excited for what’s to come and can’t imagine what he’ll do next. The “JS Bear” is already being reworked into an Adilette Slide, so hopefully there are plans to rework the “JS Wings” as well.
The Jeremy Scott x adidas Forum Hi “Dipped” is set to drop on October 2nd in Signal Orange and Blue via adidas.com for a retail price of $160 with the Teal and Black colorways still waiting for a drop date.
