The sacai x Nike collaborations have taken the sneaker world by storm, primarily through their innovations on classic silhouettes. Their most recent project, the Vaporwaffle, quickly became a massive success through its special individuality and colorway selection. Choosing the running-inspired pair as his silhouette of choice, French designer Jean Paul Gaultier unveiled his first Vaporwaffle collaboration on the Paris runway. It seems that the silhouette has become a personal favorite, as a multi-colored version has surfaced.
Similar to the Black pair, this new pair features an identical construction. A baseball glove pattern runs across the profile’s entirety, while a multi-colored pallet consisting of Yellow, Blue, Green, and Tan paint the different panels. Differing from other Vaporwaffles, Gaultier’s design features a higher-cut ankle.
