Vault by Vans announces its new collaboration with Spanish artist, Javier Calleja. The artist’s signature characters that adorn his painting and sculptures make their way to a variety of Vans silhouettes and apparel. The Javier Calleja x Vault by Vans capsule collection includes four different footwear options.
Calleja uses the Vault by Vans OG collection as a new canvas for his art. The Vans OG Sk8-Hi has rich brown suede with Calleja’s characters on the quarters. This design matches the Vans OG Classic Slip-On, which has brown trim and corresponding characters on the upper. The Vans OG Chukka Boot is a mid-cut silhouette with a black midsole and two-tone upper. The dual trim comes in shades of pink and blue to complement the analogous canvas shades. Calleja’s wide-eyed characters add a playful element to the sneaker. A similar upper is also seen on the Vans OG Authentic, which is finished with pink trim and bright red writing on the midsole that reads, “You Have No Choice.”
The apparel and accessories collection shows similar themes, with motifs like “Change Your Way,” on the clothing. Other items such as a woven long-sleeve tee, pullover hoodie, tote bag, bucket hat, and crew socks all come ready with Calleja’s art.
