Having teamed up with some of the biggest names in fashion, such as Balmain and Dior, sportswear giant Nike is now tapping luxury brand Jacquemus for its latest collaboration.
No doubt the upcoming Jacquemus x Nike Collection will be highly sought after. The debut range will elegantly mix sports style into everyday life and comprise 15 items ranging from apparel and footwear. Included are the Jacquemus x Nike Humara, bike shorts, bucket hats, and a backless dress for women geared for both the gym and the club.
Following the official announcement last month, Jacquemus has now given fans a better look at its upcoming Nike silhouette which was teased via the brand’s official Instagram account. The Swoosh-marked sneakers are believed to be a take on the Nike Air Humara and Pocket Knife. Along with the sneakers, Sweeney is also sporting the latest pieces by Jacquemus.
In another post, the label shared that its upcoming “LE PAPIER” collection, being presented on June 27, will provide a better look at the Nike range.
On the partnership, Simon Porte Jacquemus shared, “For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way. I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s. Having this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors, along with my own interpretation of the Humara, my favorite Nike shoe. It was important for the collection to be accessible for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance.”
The Jacquemus x Nike Collection will release on June 28th exclusively on jacquemus.com, followed by a global release via Nike SNKRS on September 10. Keep it locked here for updates.
