If you haven’t already heard, Nike is uniting women with an all-new mentality. THE FORCE IS FEMALE focuses on empowering strong women paving their own lanes and getting sh*t done. It’s a celebration of all the bad ass women out there pushing boundaries, whatever they may be.

I had the pleasure of attending the launch event at The Springs here in L.A. and left feeling inspired. It was an inspirational convergence of like minded women whose style presence alone broke down the “boys club” nature of the culture. The day started with light brunch and a panel of the women featured in the campaign like blogger Zolee and stylist Jamie Ordiz. It was so refreshing to hear that some of the panelists shared the same feelings on the subjects of women in the blogging space, streetwear culture, etc. that I did. Something that really resonated with me was the idea of showing girls that it’s okay to be yourself, be cozy, and just simply be you.

The event ended with a goody bag that included a Force is Female tote, Jason Markk Quick Wipes (always clutch), and a t-shirt. When registering for the event everyone had to choose a word that described their force. Turns out, the word you chose depicted the phrase that was printed on your shirt.

My force is unstoppable.
