In Retrospect: Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement

The Air Jordan 3 is one of, if not the single most, beloved model in the Air Jordan lineup. Many colors have been released, and it has probably been seen in retro more than any other Jordan. The sneaker community includes a variety of people with a variety of backgrounds, but the Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement is agreed upon as a must have in rotation. The mostly black sneaker incorporates the popular?elephant?print on the toe cap and heel, and is accented by hits of red in the right places.

One year ago today, the Air Jordan 3 black/cement was the most recent time this sneaker was released. Though it was the third drop and featured a Jumpan symbol on the back, instead of the original “Nike Air” logo, people flocked in droves to pick up the shoe. There were lines, campouts, and servers overloaded on “Black Friday” of last year. The Air Jordan 3 black/cement continue to be a favorite, and one of the most coveted by those who own them, and sought after by those who do not. Did you own a pair? Did you cop on “Black Friday” last year or did you cop later? Should Jordan Brand release this shoe again soon? Let us know your story in the comments below, and on Twitter using the hashtag #InRetrospect.
