Nike Air Pippen1997 was the year I really started to love basketball, and it was also the year I laced up the same shoes as my favorite player, Scottie Pippen. I’ll never forget the first time I wore my pair to school, hitting the court to play “Bump” with the boys and feeling like I too could be as great as my revered #33. A lifelong love affair with sports and sneakers was born that year, and it’s all thanks to the Nike Air Pippen. I missed out on the retro, and still find myself longing for a pair. I’ve gotta fill the space in my closet soon.
