With the year quickly coming to an end, the creatives at Nike SB are ramping up the production of Dunk Highs this year. The latest inspiration comes from the Japanese animated series Mobile Suit Gundam.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series, the Banshee unit arrives in a navy and black loadout, with orange contrast stitching. Additional details include unique cutouts on the toe box mimicking the giant mechs along with removable gold velcro Swooshes. The lateral heel features graphics reading “RX-0 DUNK HIGH” and “WARNING.” For the finishing touches, the silhouette rests atop a black sole unit.
The Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High “Banshee” is set to arrive in skate stores in Europe, China & Japan on September 24 while the US will have to hold out until October 9.
