This month, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 looks to reintroduce the ’82 favorite to a new generation. Joining that push but not new to the model is the G-DRAGON x Nike Air Force 1 Para-noise collaboration.
“I was made by a culture derived by people from the past,” says the Seoul-born hip-hop star. “Ever since I came across hip-hop as a kid, AF1 has had a meaning greater than just shoes. I couldn’t afford them, so I would always pass the Nike store and admire them with my eyes and heart only. For those who loved hip-hop culture, oversized clothes, hats and matching-colored AF1s was the uniform.”
More than meets the eye, the Air Force 1 “Para-noise” sports a wear-away upper fabrication with a painted black overlay that’s designed to slowly reveal artwork by G-DRAGON himself.
Look for the G-DRAGON x Nike Air Force 1 “Para-noise” to release worldwide on November 23rd.
