Once again the UCONN Huskies are back in the NCAA Championship game. While they’re stoked in Storrs for this chance to top the tourney there’s nothing like the first time. Back in 1999 the Huskies upset the Dukies for the school’s first NCAA title on the men’s side. What did they rock? Lots of heat. Star two-guard Rip Hamilton showed JB roots rocking the Air Jordan 14 while swingman Ricky Moore busted out the Nike Air Flightposite. They weren’t the only ones in good releases from Nike and Jordan. Take a look back at this classic game.
