For their first-ever collaboration, retailer END and sportswear manufacture Salomon are dropping a utilitarian-heavy XT-Wings 2 “Sirocco” inspired by the world’s toughest footrace, the Marathon Des Sables.
The Marathon Des Sables, a grueling six-day footrace that takes place every year, is heavily incorporated into the END x Salomon XT-Wings 2 “Sirocco”. First off, the sneaker’s “Sirocco” colorway is named after a Mediterranean wind that originates in the Sahara. Next, various hues of brown dress the upper such as the mesh paneling said to emulate the sand dunes, while darker shades are seen on the sides, lace unit, and sole.
