A memorable Rucker Park run in front of the fans of Harlem is almost like a right of passage for NBA superstars. Allen Iverson, of course, had several memorable moments at the NYC hoops sanctuary. Among the foremost was his appearance on June 18, 1996, for the Entertainer’s Basketball Classic (EBC).
Teaming up with Stephon Marbury to put on a dazzling showcase, Iverson further cemented his street fame that often overshadowed that of his shine in the public light.
Reebok, in conjunction with EBC program founder Greg Marius, remembers that special night with the upcoming EBC x Reebok Question.
Equally continuing to honor the shoe’s 20th anniversary, the style is fittingly hued like the jerseys he and Starbury wore that night, featuring jersey mesh and brushed suede in gold. Full-grain leather in navy fills the remainder of the upper while “Standing Room Only” is printed on each heel, which references the many kids climbing fences to watch the game and others relegated to the streets only to hear the roars from a far when AI wowed the crowd.
