Last summer Dwyane Wade became the new face of Jordan Brand and the first player to carry the AJ signature line since the man himself. Big shoes to fill to say the least, as MJ is widely considered as the best to ever play as well as the best marketed athlete. While the strong majority of JB ads post retirement have been very serious it appears the brand is going back to its comedy roots. Creative studio Academy, who’s resume with Jordan Brand includes the popular “Become Mars” viral campaign, tweeted earlier today news suggesting a commercial shoot with D-Wade and comedian Kevin Hart.
While we’ll still have to wait to see the final product we must say we’re excited about the possible direction. Comedy has played a big part in successful sneaker?commercials?all the way from Mars Blackmon to Lil’ Penny.
