Converse always seems to star relevant with even its most classic designs. The One Star originally released in, you guessed it, 1974, but is back for 2009 in 6 different colorways.

All six uppers color choices–Amber Yellow, Black, Dark Denim, Green, Red and Mulberry Purple–sit on, you guessed it again, a white vulcanized sole. One thing you probably didn’t expect though is the material choice of suede. All six pairs are lined with leather and feature a star on the side, though the Amber Yellow pair uses black in both places, while the others use white leather and suede.

For those who find the Chuck Taylor a little too minimal, the One Star‘s a nice substitute, adding in details like contrast stitching and actual padding. All six pairs are available now Converse’s online store and other retailers.
