Concepts and New Balance reunite for their latest rendition of the New Balance 57/40, releasing exclusively in Asia. Despite the lack of popularity, the silhouette has managed to gain a cult-like following thanks to projects with Staud, Bricks, size?, and Wood.
This Asia exclusive release takes inspiration from the Tang Dynasty due to its similar resemblance to the earliest forms of Chinese banknotes. Aside from the brief history lesson, the pair features enlarged “N” logos on each side, followed by Concepts branding on the insole. A multi-colored upper resting atop a black and white sole unit completes the design.
