The 2022-2023 NBA season is officially underway and Dallas Mavericks forward Christian Wood has been spotted wearing adidas since the start, leaving many to speculate a potential partnership. Wood took to Twitter to confirm that he is the latest athlete to join the adidas Basketball roster.

At 27-years-old, the former UNLV Rebel has been involved with a number of NBA teams since being drafted in 2015. Wood was traded to the Dallas Mavericks over Summer, where he’ll play alongside Luka Doncic. So far the two show great potential chemistry on the court.

The season is just getting started for Wood as he’s averaging 25.8 minutes, 16.7 points, and 8.2 rebounds per game. His shooting average from the field stands at 56.9 percent, with an impressive 55.6 percent average from the 3-point range in a sixth-man role. Wood became the first Maverick ever to score at least 25 points in each of his first two games while coming off the bench.

The terms of Wood’s adidas deal have not been disclosed, but as the season and his career continue to develop, more details should become available. Wood joins Damian Lillard, Trae Young, Candace Parker, and James Harden at adidas Basketball.
