New Balance is stepping onto the gridiron as Chase Young, the Washington Commanders’ defensive end, will become the brand’s ambassador for football.
As a member of Klutch Athletics through the Rich Paul and New Balance relationship, Chase Young will help spearhead the design of New Balance’s first-ever football cleat.
I am honored to be the first athlete to join Klutch Athletics by New Balance and to work with the design team on the collection.
As an athlete I always want training apparel that meets the grueling demands of everyday training but can also be mixed in with other pieces from my closet and worn outside of the gym. It is clear Klutch Athletics by New Balance has put athletes first and I am excited to make history with both brands.

The addition of Young will mark the brand’s entry into the sport and will pave the way for New Balance’s first-ever professional American football/NFL cleat, set to launch in 2024.
