Having teamed up several times before, Burn Rubber and Reebok join forces yet again to keep the 25th anniversary celebration of the Ventilator going. With the Detroit-based boutique’s founders Rick Williams and Roland Coit at the creative helm, this “Boblo Boat” take on the classic runner is pulled directly from the childhood trips Coit used to take to the island-based Boblo Amusement Park.
Done up with a variety of textures and tonal colors, shades of grey, white and blue dress the runner’s upper while a boat-inspired touch of yellow is featured about the lace eyelet. Finished with a water-derived icy outsole, Burn Rubber’s signature hangtag and heel branding sport a redesigned look to imitate the boat’s docking area.
