This upcoming Tuesday, February 1st, marks the annual Lunar New Year celebration. Head into 2022 with the BAPE “Year of the Tiger” Collection that features a BAPE SK8 STA and BAPE ROAD STA.
While unique in their own right, both sneakers from the “Year of the Tiger” collection come adorned in fierce tiger stripes. The BAPE ROAD STA keeps things sleek with a cream leather base, perforated toebox, and tiger stripes on the overlays. Black details appear on the heel tab, shoelaces, foxing, and BAPE’s signature shooting star. The midsole has a two-tone makeup with black at the front and cream around the back. The BAPE SK8 STA steals the show with its spectacular tiger stripe upper that covers the entirety of the shoe. The upper is soft to the touch and has a bright orange shooting star for the perfect pop of color. The sneaker sits atop a cream midsole and tan outsole.
The BAPE “Year of the Tiger” Collection featuring the BAPE ROAD STA and BAPE SK8 STA is available now via the BAPE webstore. These sneakers will also be released at their flagship locations on January 29, 2022. Both sneakers are priced at ¥21,000 each.
