BAPE’s iconic BAPESTA, which has been seen on the likes of Pharrell Williams and Kanye West, is set to arrive in three new vibrant colorways for Summer 2022.
Unlike any offering from the past, these brand-new BAPE BAPESTAs feature a very special design that has not been seen in previous collections. Each pair is inspired by the national flags of Brazil, France, and Italy. For Brazil, blue is seen on the mid-panels, eyestays, and outsole, while bold yellow arrives on the overlays. Lastly hits of green elevate the profile STA motifs and perforated toe box.
To honor France, the pair keeps it relatively clean with a white patent leather base, matching midsole, and profile STAs. The red and blue of the French flag then arrive on the heel and overlays. Lastly, Italy also features a relatively clean take with a white base with contrasting red and green overlays.
What sets this collection apart from previous drops is that the midsole BAPE logos have also been colored to match their respective flags’ design. No other BAPESTA drop has seen this, making then a true collector’s item.
