Following the success of their highly-coveted Gucci partnership, adidas teams up with Balenciaga to deliver a new high-street collection that combines sportswear with fetish fashion and futurism. The collection includes everyday basics like t-shirts, to Balenciaga staples like the Hourglass bag, and even revamps the iconic adidas tracksuit.
Adidas and Balenciaga take a unique approach as the duo decided to use Balenciaga silhouettes rather than any sneakers from adidas’ extensive catalog. Both the Balenciaga Triple-S and the Balenciaga Speed Trainer are iconic in their own right, with adidas lending their famed Three-Stripes and Trefoil to the sneakers. The footwear offerings also feature a number of stiletto options including a yassified adidas tracksuit in the form of full-length boots.
Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia shut down the New York Stock Exchange earlier this year to debut the collection. Anonymous models masked in BDSM-inspired latex marched down the runway backlit by the red tint and green glow of return rates. From oversized puffers to branded gym bags and jerseys, this collection will have you fitted for soccer practice, cyber attacks, and everything in-between.
