The Onitsuka Tiger X-Caliber is about as classic as you can get with running shoes. Although most of you know those signatures arches from modern day Asics, they stem from long before the brand took on their current name. Having paired up with fellow Japanese brand Azita, this X-Caliber poves that its never too late to teach an old dog new tricks. The first thing you’ll notice is the bright yellow midsole the entire shoe sits on. The upper uses a mixture of materials including mesh, leather and suede in grey and black. The forefoot is made of grey breathable mesh, while the heel gets covered in black suede. In between them, the mid-panel uses a gradient behind the signature arches design. Yellow’s used again on the tongue to bring the color scheme full circle. Expect these sometime later this year, though there’s been no word on their stateside availability just yet. |
