Following a colorful quartet of GEL-Lyte IIIs, Angelo Baque’s Awake NY imprint has once again teamed up with ASICS to create the all-new ASICS GEL-NYC.
Set to release in 2023, the ASICS GEL-NYC combines various different models, including the GEL-Nimbus 3, GEL-MC Plus V, and GEL-Cumulus 16, to form a unique mashup that perfectly balances new technology and retro design cues.
The ASICS GEL-NYC is set to drop in January 2023 via Awake NY’s flagship in New York City in two eye-catching colorways. The first one boasts a grey mesh base with contrasting teal suede overlays and pink accents on the vector logos and mudguards. The second pair features the same grey mesh base, however, accented purple suede overlays and gold vector insignias on the profile. Lastly, “AWAKE” branding is emblazoned into the lateral heels, “ASICS” branding on the tongues, and lastly a GEL-equipped midsole.
