Hirofumi Kojima, more commonly known as Koji, took to his Instagram to share first look photos of the upcoming atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Subway” Pack. The longtime Creative Director of the Japanese sneaker retailer, atmos, revealed that the collection also includes a First Down USA puffer jacket that matches the sneakers. Made up of two separate pairs, the pack is a homage to the subway systems in New York and Tokyo.
Atmos is famous for their balance between refined aesthetics and playful concepts. Yet again, they manage to bring both these elements to life on the ASICS GEL-LYTE III. The sneakers are dressed in a subway transit map, with one pair being dedicated to New York subway map and the other shoe has the map of Tokyo’s subway system. Both New York and the other to Tokyo. Both cities are regarding as fast-moving entities known for their expansive transit systems and stylish aesthetics. The Tokyo pair has more of a white undertone, while the New York pair appears more grey.
