Kyrie Irving and ANTA have more on the way through the ANTA KAI 1 as the performance brand and the Dallas Mavericks have a special tribute to Irving’s late mother, Elizabeth Irving.
The sneaker pays homage to Elizabeth’s wisdom and protective presence, characteristics deeply ingrained in Kyrie’s persona, both on and off the basketball court. Adorned with feathers symbolizing Wisdom and Protection, the design reflects the values Elizabeth instilled in Kyrie.
Special features include “Mother” and “In celebration of” inscribed on the shoe’s straps. The heel pull tab similarly carries the inscription “Mother,” reinforcing the theme of maternal reverence. And finally, the forefoot outsole tooling etches “Elizabeth Irving,” adding a personal touch.
