Awake NY founder and former Supreme brand director Angelo Baque has given a sneak peek at a collaborative effort on the ASICS GEL Kayano 14 via his Instagram.
Awake and Baque are no stranger to collaborations with ASICS, with a GEL-Kayano 5 collection and a GEL-Preleus under their belt, but this one drops the Awake logo for Angelo’s namesake in Awake’s type font seen printed towards the heel. The technical runner which debuted in 2008 uses a dark grey mesh upper with bright blue and silver overlays throughout the mudguard, laces, and quarter panel. A burnt orange panel is seen towards the heel to the lateral midsole with the branding mentioned earlier in black. Yellow is seen on the midsole which sits on top of the blue GEL cushioning in the forefoot and heel, with a firmer white midsole and black outsole finishing off the sneaker.
