Last year, Vans joined efforts with Japanese designer Alexander Lee Chang on a very nice Sk8-Hi that featured a black/white patent leather construction with a checkerboard pattern. Fresh off of the heels of that successful and sought-after collaborative design, both sides have hooked up once again on the Vans Era this time.
This particular Era features a very similar color and texture makeup to their aforementioned joint effort. Black patent leather smothers the majority of the upper, specifically throughout the toe area, heel and on the lateral side panels. The medial side panels feature a checkerboard design, and white contrast stitching appears throughout the midfoot.
