After an array of rumors and great speculation as to when the Air Jordan XX9 would finally become available to the public, Jordan Brand has now confirmed an official release date. Leading up to the retail drop, the Jumpman brand will conduct a series of wear-test events at notable sites around the country to make the innovative model available for trial. Starting in Las Vegas this weekend, the AJ XX9 will also make appearances at Nike’s World Basketball Festival August 14th in Chicago, and possibly later in New York. To bring the release date closer to the start of basketball season, SLAM has confirmed with Jordan Brand that both inaugural colorways of the Air Jordan XX9 will release for $225 each on September 6th.
