Derek Anderson, one of the very-first Team Jordan signees years ago, had some of the best on-court PEs of any Jordan Brand athlete of his day. One in particular, an Air Jordan 9 Low in black patent leather with “DA 1” at the heel, serves as inspiration for an upcoming Air Jordan 9 release this March.
Repurposed as a high with premium black leather joined with a patent leather mudguard and corresponding heel construction, the shoe is finished with University Red accents as opposed to Anderson’s pair in white. Both Quentin Richardson and Jason Kidd wore similar pairs as well.
