It’s good to be Drake. After shutting down his hometown with the fifth straight OVO Fest, Drizzy is on the road with his mentor for the Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour. The Air Jordan 3 “Drake vs. Lil Wayne” PE sees him making good on his Jordan Brand deal, serving as a summer exclusive for the brand’s hip-hop ambassador. In many ways, these PEs follow in the footsteps of last year’s tour-themed “Legends of the Summer” PEs made for Justin Timberlake.
This initial installment features an all-black tumbled leather upper, contrasted by red branding on the tongue and gold on the heel. Nods to the tour and the OVO clique appear on the insoles, adding both personal and exclusive appeal to these pairs. Recently, Drake has been spotted in an all-gold Air Jordan 3 PE, similar to that of Usher’s pair, and has previously received “OVO” themed installments of the Air Jordan 10 and Air Jordan 12 for last year’s solo tour.
