Air Jordan 3 “Chlorophyll” Inspired By Tinker Hatfield’s Air Trainer 1 Arrives This Weekend

Designed by Tinker Hatfield back in 1987, Nike’s Air Trainer 1 quickly turned the sneaker industry on its face. Hatfield revolutionized the cross-training sneaker market with his ’87 design and in the year that followed released the silhouette’s most beloved colorway — the “Chlorophyll.”

The shoe was often linked to beloved tennis great, John McEnroe.

For holiday 2018, Jordan Brand is re-imagining adored themes from the past on other iconic styles. Taking from the Air Trainer 1 to affirm newness upon the Air Jordan 3, the “Chlorophyll” theme seamlessly transitions to Hatfield’s 1988 design with a light grey primary joined by light green accents. Cement print lines the toe and heel in customary fashion.

The Air Jordan 3 “Chlorophyll” is set to release on November 10th. Check out shots from Livestock and Nike below.
