A coveted Air Jordan 1 will finally see a wider release as the Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Satin Bred” is slated for Holiday 2023, according to ZSneakerheadz and Sneaker Files.
In 2016, the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Bred” aka “Satin Banned” was released in select markets such as Atlanta, Houston, and New York in exclusive & limited quantities. Additionally, the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Banned” sample made its rounds on the internet adding to the colorway’s hunt.
The origins of the “Satin Banned” arrived at the height of the Air Jordan 1 craze that paved the way for other satin remixed iterations of classics, including the Air Jordan 1 High “Satin Royal” in 2017, the Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 “Satin Shadow” in 2017, the Air Jordan 1 High WMNS “Satin Shattered Backboard” in 2018, and the Air Jordan 1 High “Satin Black Toe” in 2019, and Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Satin Snake” in 2020.
The latest edition of the satin series adds to an already anticipated Air Jordan 1 release for this holiday season as the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Royal Reimagined” is reportedly in the works.
In addition to the satin Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Satin Bred” this holiday season, the brand will also be releasing the Air Jordan 11 “DMP” & the Air Jordan 11 WMNS “Neapolitan” colorways towards the end of the year.
While not much is known about the upcoming colorway, the 2023 holiday release will have “minor changes” to the 2016 version, per ZSneakerheadz.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Satin Bred” releases in WMNS, pre-school- and toddler sizes on October 18, 2023 (aka “Banned Day”) on SNKRS and select retailers.
