Sneakers don’t get any more historical than the Air Jordan 1 Black/Red. Banned by the NBA for uniform violations, the iconic silhouette lit a fire under the sneaker community and the city of Chicago alike. The latest creation to come out of Shannon Favia‘s design studio puts the spotlight back on the “Bred” AJ 1 in paint form. This 3×3 acrylic and aerosol not only depicts the timeless shoe, it also represents the residents of the Windy City that were born and raised Bulls. Placing the silhouette on top of a blue background, the words “Born & Raised” tie the knot between the Air Jordan 1 and the city of Chicago.
