The budding partnership between Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance continues to reach new heights. Last year, the two kicked off their collaborative efforts with the reintroduction of the 550. To no surprise, the pairs released sold out quickly. Luckily for those that are still searching for a pair, the duo has returned with two new colorways of the retro-basketball sneaker.
Elements that made the 550 commercially successful included the retro shape and distinct colorways. Following the old-school motif, aged soles appear below a white leather upper. One iteration will arrive in green and yellow while the other will appear with red accents. Both sneakers celebrate the “International Friendship Through Basketball” theme.
