Not long ago (one year to be exact), Article No. popped up on the scene by way of their swooping, high fashion leaning high tops. This fall, the brand is still making good use of their unique lines and luxe materials, but they’re switching up their silos considerably. Take a look at some of the standouts from the brand on the rise in the photos below from Agenda Long Beach.

Article No. 0714Clean and refined, a wide range of high quality low tops are playing with shapes and color blocking far from new to the market, but doing so with lines and price points sure to disrupt. Standouts include the 0714 (seen above and below in maroon) that incorporate the neoprene sockliner trend pointed out in our Agenda notes. Rather than appearing as a Huarache bite, they depart from standard sporty styling by way of premium materials, wavy lines and a lifestyle sole. These run a modest $160.

Article No. 0518Built like a boat, the 0518 sees another sharp left. The neoprene sockliner and wavy lines show a concurrent theme with the previously previewed pair, while the shape and structure veer another direction. Coming in at $180, this bigger build will pose an interesting wear for certain.

Article No. 0925The 0925 shows shades of the adidas Stan Smith and Common Projects Achilles Low, but does a great job of differentiating itself at the midsole. Retailing at only $150, it plays the middle well between the aforementioned contemporaries and sports quality craftsmanship for such an average price point.

Article No. 0225Trending towards their introductory lineup, the 0225 sports the high top form that laid the foundation for the brand’s swooping silos. Leather is the catalyst for construction, with a $210 price point representing about the highest retail marks for Article No. This style was also seen in a variety of off-white makeups with earth tone accents.

Article No. 0213Lastly, the 0213 sees another left design and reasonable price point. Plush in pig suede and coming in at $160 a pair, an asymmetrical upper juxtaposes an otherwise reserved look. These are silent but strong.
