Following a clean take on their Sukui II silhouette for the spring season ahead, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas’s Y-3 label are set to release a GORE-TEX-indebted GR.1P range.
Comprising both a low and high-top iteration of the Y-3 GR.1P GTX Suketo, the sleek footwear options are the perfect pick-me-up on a rainy day, considering its rain-resistant, GORE-TEX outfit.
Both silhouettes are encompassed with utilitarian design cues complete with exaggerated rubber outsoles and a tumbled leather upper. Elevating both pairs is the GORE-TEX lining inspired by Y-3’s “aim of protecting the wearer from urban rainfall.”
The Y-3 GR.1P GTX Suketo High will release in an all-black outfit, while the Y-3 GR.1P GTX Suketo Low arrives in a black and white color scheme. Both sneakers are set to release via select stockists and adidas.com/y-3 on March 11.
