Much like the Stan Smith, the adidas Superstar is the latest silhouette to feature the triple-layered tongue. The inspiration comes from the Three Stripes Brand signature Trefoil logo.
Despite their only being three offerings with this design element, it’s safe to assume adidas will continue to pump out more classic silhouettes featuring the latest design motif.
Unlike its counterpart, this offering is layered in an all-white base with gold “SUPERSTAR” text running along the lateral side. Traditional elements returning are the signature Three Stripes in black on the sides and the shell top toe. Wrapping up the design is a triple-stacked tongue resting atop a white sole unit.
